Checking the Pegs 003: Target (Hadley, MA)

     So the new toys for Batman vs Superman are in stores. I like the general design of Wonder Woman's costume in this movie but sadly all the figures I saw at Target looked pretty bad. (This is actually good in my case because I don't feel the crippling need to buy them.)

This is the Mattel 6" figure. I liked the body a lot but the face is a real deal breaker;
too wide and painted horribly.

The pricier "Multiverse" figure wasn't any better in the face department:

This giant figure actually looked pretty okay, but these things are so huge and barely articulated. I guess kids like them? (Side note: I did NOT pose the armored Batman like that but now seeing it in the photo it's pretty funny :D)

Moving on to Marvel, I found a Fairy-Suit Iron Man:

I really like the scale and level of detail in this box from Hasbro, but it doesn't look like they would be able to stand up very well. My favorite part is the look on Black Widow's face. It's the face she makes every time she doesn't have her own movie.

Lastly, these kid-level badass things called DinoTrux caught my eye. The only thing I know about them (other than what is on the package) is that turtle is rad as the dickens.
