Deck construction follows the standard sixty card minimum, and maximum four of a kind aside from basic lands. In addition, there are three levels: at level 1, decks can only use common cards, at level 2 uncommons are allowed, and level 3 adds in both rares and mythics.
Organizers must first decide what set or block they will be exploring. Players then have a tournament with their decks at level 1. At the next event, they will be level 2, and the final event will be level 3. (These would most likely each be held a week apart, but it depends on the group.) When the decks get to level 3 it is encouraged to proxy any card worth more than a few dollars to keep the format casual but still show off what was possible in the set. (Just do everyone a favor and make your proxies look nice, deal?) Stores could offer prize support in the form of rares or boosters from the set being explored.
