It started off real exciting with my Commander guy telling all the towns folk to run to safety, and then orcs started warping in out of smoke clouds, so we fought them.
It was kind of cool, but I really was hoping we would walk out to the front of the garrison and see them in a battle line, then my guys would form a battle line at the door and my Commander would give an epic war cry and then we could start fighting. I know WoW doesn't really have the mechanics to pull off fighting in formation, but it would be awesome to have it at least start that way. A siege battle reminiscent of Wintergrasp would be more than welcome, too.
Well anyway, some more stuff happened, like fighting a rylak.
Then we won (though I died a few times)
And my towns people came back out of hiding.
I got bronze, but even on gold the rewards only seem "ok" to me. I guess those mounts are a big draw for people. All in all, I'm only slightly interested in doing more of these, and probably won't bother to solo one again.
The Wintergrasp cravings continue, unsated...
